Bestselling thriller author Andrew Pyper talks demons and evil twins on THRILL SEEKERS

November 12, 2015

Andrew Pyper is the author of several titles, including The Demonologist, and most recently The Damned. The Demonologist won the 2014 International Thriller Writers Award for Best Hardcover Novel, and was a #1 bestseller in Canada. Film rights have been sold to Universal Pictures with Robert Zemeckis’ company, ImageMovers. The Damnedh as been optioned by Legendary Pictures. His other titles include The Guardians, The Killing Circle, Kiss Me, and Lost Girls. He is based in Toronto.

I started reading Andrew's work this past year thanks to Thrillerfest, where I picked up The Demonologist and immediately moved onto The Damned. I highly recommend his work as a shining example of literary horror.

An image of Andrew, as I liked to imagine him on the other end of the phone.

The first book I've read by Andrew has been optioned by optioned by Robert Zemeckis' company, ImageMovers. As I mention on the show, it had not been optioned by actor Pauly Shore.

No disrespect to Mr. Shore's impressive body of work.

The Damned, released this year, is just as good, and more of a psychological thriller.

Fellow Canadian E. Annie Proulx remains the only writer from Canada to have received a Nobel Prize.
