Author Renée Swindle on The Euthanist
"The heroine of Alex Dolan’s The Euthanist is a sharp-tongued, take-no-prisoners kind of gal who had me gripped from page one. Dolan writes dialogue that’s snappy and darkly witty. Imaginative and riveting, The Euthanist is a one-of-kind novel that will leave readers staying up late and longing for more."
Renée Swindle has been a mentor and friend for over a decade. I'm always compelled by the authority of her writing voice. She writes about relationships with humor and honesty, and has the gift of being able to discuss serious, often tragic subjects in a way that engrosses me and makes me embrace tragedy as a part of life, and not something that we need to sweep into the corner. Her books introduce us to real characters with both strength and flaws, and she's been an inspiration to me in learning how to develop multi-dimensional characters that own both their strengths and weaknesses.
Even better, Renée is one of the best people I know, and I like that we know how to make each other laugh. I encourage you to pick up any of her current three titles and treat yourself.
